A book of philosophy should consist only of questions, Wittgenstein is said to have said. This is also true of a book on art. This book consists of a series of questions, sometimes more assertive than enquiring, few of them about the relationship between art and philosophy. The small artwork on the cover is based on an iconic portrait of Wittgenstein from which he has been removed.
