This object was the first thought I had in my life about self-referentiality. At least that is how I see it now that the subject has become so important in my understanding of art and life. The sculpture was exhibited at Galeria Barnola in Barcelona and sold to the La Caixa collection. The picture of me on the wall was taken in Villoslada de Cameros, a small village in northern Spain where I lived for nine years.
