Lecture presents a self-referential lecture: a lecturer talks about lectures in front of the public, and he winds the theme up in itself in a loop. By portraying the particular conditions of this form of communication, and using all the resources of the media, the film reflects on the meaning of mass communication, on the character of representational devices, and on the nature of truth and art. The mood, the discourse and the relationship with the audience progressalong the filmwith increasing intensity until the tension becomes unbearable.
