2008 – The Two Teams Team

A short film about the differences and similarities between video art and cinema. Two characters, an actor and a video artist, are talking. They are in a film set, on a break, in the middle of props and cables, someone gives them a beer. The conversation is about film sets in film and video art projects, they point out the differences between the two ways of filming. They talk about budgets, emotions and the different relationships that cinema and video art have with fiction and reality. The camera has come closer and the quality of the image has changed to become more cinematographic. We no longer see the environment of a film set, but only an image with two characters. What began as a casual video during a break in shooting is now a real film of two characters talking. The reality becomes seamlessly fictional until the microphone comes into the frame and someone shouts: Cut!
