Electric materials and light
I have installed this work three times, once in the studio, once at an art fair and once at an exhibition. The result is similar to traditional handicraft, and as handicraft it is extremely labour intensive to make. I was proud when it was sold to the Reina Sofia Collection because the only artwork delivered was an electric cable, pins and a light bulb. The museum presented the work as part of its 'New Acquisitions' exhibition next year, and I heard that the technicians who installed it cursed me a few times.
