Video Installation
A video installation showing a short scene from Ingmar Bergman's film Fanny and Alexander on a monitor inside a soundproof box. The protagonist's terrifying cries of mourning for her dead husband cannot be heard in the room, but the viewer can peer through the window.
The work was part of Nominal Politics an exhibition presenting a variety of works using performance, video and installation to address questions about the nature of politics, and in particular how 'the political' is constituted, managed and presented today.
